New Hazelnuts Bakery has been operating since 1994 under the leadership of Mr. Romeo Ong. It started as a retail store in Tandang Sora, Quezon City. It initially sold pan de coco bread, ensaymada, cakes, tasty bread, loft bread, cookies, donut, monay, panderosa, hopia, brownies, mongo bread, puddings, pandesal, hamburger buns, hotdog bun, footlong bun and other kinds of bread.
The delicious bread of New Hazelnuts Bakery are the fruits of Mr. Ong’s training and diligence in researching on how to make the finest bread.
Aside from selling the bread in its retail outlet, it also sold assorted bread to wholesale clients like schools. One of its competitive edges is by offering free delivery to its wholesale clients.
In 2004, New Hazelnuts Bakery streamlined its products and focused on what it does best which is making hamburger buns, hotdog buns, and footlong buns. It started with customers that are mainly burger chains that offer “buy 1 take 1” hamburgers but eventually expanded their reach to customers who prefer customizing their hamburger buns from different weights, sizes, toppings, and colors. This move propelled its business to take off.
New customers consistently go to New Hazelnuts Bakery for their bun requirements. Even if there is tight competition, it continues to produce high quality buns while trusting God that He is the One who provides customers to the business.
